Dana Benedict-Wilson was born and raised in Las Vegas. After college, she spent six years living and working in Washington, D.C. as an elementary school teacher. In 2015, she returned to her hometown and now lives with her husband, Phil, and dog fur babies, Charlie and Harmony. Growing up, Dana’s brother was allergic to dogs. Every year for her birthday, she asked for a dog. Her husband also never had a pet and had been excited to get a dog for years! It wasn’t until she got her own home in Las Vegas that their dream came true. They rescued Charlie in June 2015. A bundle of energy and love, Charlie’s main goal in life is to get as many snacks as possible. Just under a year later, Harmony came bounding into the picture. A product of the Pups on Parole program, Harmony loves kissing everybody and plays fetch for no less than four hours a day. Dana and Phil love spending weekends with the pups exploring new parks and trails at Red Rock. Dana loves meeting new dogs has informally been caring for (and spoiling) friends’ dogs for the past two years. Under the guidance of Dan and his team, she has learned to navigate dog body language, especially during a first meeting. She is excited to be part of the petsitting and walking team!
